CHALLENGE
Avalanche faced a significant obstacle when planning their inaugural ‘Avalanche Hacks’ event in Asia. Initially set to take place at a Floating Island venue during Korea Blockchain Week, the worst flood in 80 years forced a rapid relocation within just 30 hours to a carpark at the Korea Formula E.
STRATEGY
This unforeseen challenge presented an opportunity to rethink the event’s execution. The new carpark location allowed for innovative adaptations, transforming a setback into an engaging experience. Attendees were immersed in the AVAX ecosystem through diverse activities, fostering community connections despite the logistical hurdles.
IMPACT
By creatively repurposing the carpark, Avalanche delivered a vibrant event featuring racing simulators, arcade games, and wellness sessions. Local food trucks and live performances, including DJs and break dancers, enhanced the atmosphere, making
the event not just a success, but a memorable celebration of Web3 innovation.
