INVNT had worked across Microsoft’s brand touchpoints, but producing the 50th Anniversary — alongside the Office of the CEO — was a milestone. The brief? Not just a celebration, but a bold, irreverent show that honored Microsoft’s legacy and catapulted it into its AI-powered future. Held on the Cricket Field of Microsoft’s expanded campus, INVNT built a custom tent for 1,000 guests and produced a two-part broadcast: a 40-minute global Copilot product launch livestream, followed by a 60-minute internal show for all 220,000 employees.
Designed like a live TV special, the event was co-developed with the Copilot team and featured a reunion interview with Bill Gates, Steve Ballmer, and Satya Nadella, moderated by tech creator Cleo Abram. Hosted by Brenda Song, with performances by Allen Stone, creator-driven segments, and surprise employee moments — the show defied corporate conventions.
The impact was massive: coverage in 27 languages, 771+ broadcast segments, 619 articles in outlets like BBC, NPR, and Forbes, and 84M+ reached via 227 creator posts. Copilot dominated coverage (73% of stories), and 93% of employee responses to Satya’s post were positive. Satya Nadella called it “nothing short of spectacular”. A defining brand storytelling moment — for Microsoft and INVNT.
